Get ready, get set, go! A New Moon crackling with Uranian fireworks takes us into April, charged with revolutionary verve and fervor, new insights and fast-paced developments that happen with the impact of lightning and thunder. Hang on for the ride. This New Moon lights up a crescendo in the current Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter pattern for unmistakable, world-shaking action that peaks mid-April, especially on the 20th-21st, then into May and onward. It may manifest in literal storms, as the Earth speaks up in no uncertain terms, or from revolutionary outbreaks or extraordinary news on the economic and political front. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that will likely have impact this month.
The push and pull of such uncertainty is unsettling, also exciting. We continue to find, as we have throughout the month of March, that alternative approaches serve best. We’re getting a new version of the operating system on the psychic Internet and via the galactic interstellar field. It’s helpful to know this, so we don’t think we’re going crazy. Our psychic perceptions are on high. Turn down the volume when you need quiet time for yourself. One meaningful way we can help each other is by sharing our sympathy and compassion. Let’s be kind and helpful to each other, while keeping in mind that we don’t have to take on the whole world’s sufferings as our own.
We head into the uncharted territory of April with plenty of charged-up energy and an expectant sense of destiny at work. A total eclipse of the Moon on the 15th and a solar eclipse at the end the month add to the transformational drama. Expect the unexpected. Not everyone is up to speed with the program. Some grumble that they have not signed up for this third millennium pioneering adventure. The alternatives are few. There is really nowhere else to go. If you have been holding on to some faint hope of going back to “normal,” you can try it at your peril, to be left behind the times. This is not to give carte blanche on just any whim of change. We must meet the agenda of the times for Earth-honoring, conservation-minded, ecologically appropriate planning and implementation. Step up and be counted. This is a fabulous opportunity for growth toward mutual wellbeing, even as old structures are further dismantled. The way it happens might be surprising, somewhat uncomfortable, even shocking in some ways. Be vigilant, caring and willing rather than anxious in the face of this awakening and we’ll find ways to improvement.
Another intriguing planetary dynamic brings the cosmic feminine into play. Socially engaged VENUS in Aquarius opposite BLACK MOON LILITH in Leo brings the goddess into heightened expression, encouraging a creative response. Meanwhile action planet MARS has stepped backward, in retrograde motion (from Earth’s point of view). We are going back over actions and reconsidering decisions and strategies. Dialogue and renegotiation are called for, both personal and global, taking into account what is fair for all parties. The feminine influence of engagement and cooperation rather than competition is the heart-centered approach. The presence of the Black Moon, radiating like the Black Madonna with a Mona Lisa smile, offers an impersonal perspective that makes mincemeat of any macho ego stance. Strong-arming does not work, nor is judgment useful. “It is as it is,” says the Goddess. “Deal with it.”
SATURN is in on this mix, in a serious conversation with the Goddess to evoke satisfactory long-term solutions. Saturn pushes a firm warning finger on unconscious, shadowy tendencies to manipulate the outcome for personal gain. We have all been rooting out some deep dark stuff, letting go of resistances that block the flow of awareness. Personally we are each exercising values clarification, upgrading our emotional IQ and enhancing our relationship with “all our relations,” including Mother Earth. On a global level, all this has financial implications in the major politico-economic realignment, which may free up access to a cornucopia of opportunity and abundance. Let’s set a joint clear intention in this direction.
Another subtle facet of the cosmic feminine has recently been brought to public attention due to a recent announcement on March 26 in the realm of astrophysics. Scientists were taken by surprise by the unexpected discovery of rings around CHARIKLO, a small body in the astronomical family of Centaurs, a hybrid class of planetoid/ comets orbiting between Saturn and Uranus. These Centaur objects help bridge consciousness between Saturn’s physical-based reality, and the radical potentials of from the higher mind of Uranus. Previously scientists had not conceived of the possibility of such a small, asteroid-like body having rings. Mythically Chariklo was a water nymph who shape-shifted into a centaur so that she could marry Chiron, the Shaman of the solar system, healing him of a deep shame for his hybrid shape. Likewise she honors the human form, seeing beyond the visible physical form to the invisible light body. Another of her teachings is to balance the need for love and intimacy with solitude and personal sacred space, a timely consideration as we redesign our relationships, seeking a true yin-yang, mutually-uplifting interplay within the circle of her sparkling halo rings.
Chariklo is now positioned at 26 degrees Sagittarius, the astronomical gateway to the center of the Milky Way galaxy. At the center of every galaxy and, some now say, of every atom and cell, is a black hole or black whole, a dark vacuum space of infinite potential reflecting our holographic universe. This is a highly intuitive and visionary space. Her partner Chiron joins Mercury in sensitive Pisces, opening a quantum doorway into the kinesthetic perception of the unified field, the fluid creative life force within which we all shimmer and glimmer, vibrating with brilliant frequencies of light. If we can imagine it, it can happen.
