URANUS.KH.mkhImage: URANUS, from PLANETARY GODS & GODDESSES COLORING BOOK, by author, due out in late August. Uranus mated with Gaia, the Earth Goddess, to bring forth a new generation of gods and goddesses. Any myth has many versions. Uranus is not always this kindly. I invite you to find your own version as it plays out in your life.

Beyond the solar system of the classical Greco-Roman gods, there are numerous planetoids being discovered in the far solar system. Many are named for creator gods and goddesses from various global cultures. How exciting that these archetypal dimensions reawaken in our collective consciousness, stimulating new potentials in our experience—especially for our kids! This is the real reason I got involved in this project, due out (gods and goddesses willing) in late August or September. Watch for upcoming announcements.

This FULL CAPRICORN MOON reflecting the CANCER SUN is buzzed by URANUS, and charged with electricity. The tides are always high on a full Moon, but these are atmospheric and electrical as well as oceanic! Terrestrial storms and earthquakes shake up the globe, along with global revolution and uncertainty, unexpected new initiatives, and sudden developments, including consciousness shifts. There is a thunderstorm overhead as I write this. Several have passed through. Of course, all these things are happening already—the spicy, dicey and, for some, emotionally pricy. This Full Moon highlights this activity and indicates a peak moment in the electrical surge. Power outages, unusual storm activity and highly charged nervous systems are likely—especially since Uranus is “stationing.” From our geocentric point of view, Uranus seems to stop in the sky, and turn retrograde.

When a slow-moving, outer planet, like Uranus, Neptune or Pluto, stations, it holds at a particular degree for a good several weeks. It is just like a train, stopping at a station to let off and take on passengers. Or imagine it as holding your hand over a candle flame. You feel the heat! Uranus reached 24 degrees Aries on June 23, stations on July 29 (this week!), and doesn’t leave that particular degree until September 4. Think extended fireworks. If you have Sun, Moon or any planet at 24 degrees of a sign, particularly Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn, you are really feeling the heat! You may even be struck by enlightening! [There is an Astro-Special for you below.*]

A number of generational groups being called to the Evolution Revolution under this Full Moon:
1973-74 with Uranus in Libra;
1975-76 with Chiron and/or Jupiter in Aries;
1953-54 with Neptune in Libra and Uranus in Cancer;
1981-82 with Pluto in Libra;
1993-1996 with Uranus and/or Neptune in Capricorn.

There are others, but these come immediately to mind. Check with me if you feel you might be one of the “chosen ones,” plugged in to the electrical socket of Uranus.

SOMETHING’S COMING
I have always liked this song from West Side Story:

“There’s something due any day,
I will know right away, soon as it shows.
It may come cannon-balling down from the sky, gleam in its eye, bright as a rose. Who knows?…
I gotta feeling there’s a miracle due, gonna come true, coming to me….
Something’s coming, I don’t know what it is, but it is gonna be great.”

Give it a listen and be inspired. This version is from the 2009 Broadway revival. Are you feeling it?

Maybe we all are. Let’s not get too anxiety-stricken while expecting the unexpected. Uranus frees up, but we may not appreciate the way it does it. When we step back from judgments about what is good and what is bad, what is right and what is wrong, we gain a Uranian perspective, a more spacious capacity of higher mind. Fifty shades of grey, indeed. There is no simple answer in this world of deep and complex karmic patterns. The soap opera is ongoing.

LILITH INSPIRATION

On this Full Moon, with Uranus turning up its ampage, it just happens to be opposite Black Moon Lilith in Libra**. Oh, yes, I can just sense her Mona Lisa smile, hinting of mystery. “It is as it is,” is a great Lilith motto, lifting us beyond any judgments that pull us into narrow definitions of so-called “reality”. This is a good thing, at a time when “reality” is reforming itself. Lilith faces us with the destructiveness of following the selfish path of the ego. We trip over our own feet.

Dakini is the cosmic feminine in Tibetan Buddhism, an aspect of consciousness that is neither “this” nor “that.” She opens us “beyond the beyond,” blowing our minds free of rationality, challenging us to enter the Essence of what we truly are, what this life is truly about. This takes immense courage or absolute necessity, soul surrender or unconditional love—perhaps all of those. If we get close to that edge, we tend to shy away. Lilith lures us deeper, that is her seduction, whatever it takes to get us there. Wisdom transmissions from Dakini remind us that, “There is nothing in the world except empty curved space,” as physicist John Wheeler once wrote. Dakini comes to us through dreams, visions, and encounters in daily life. Take nothing for granted.

The “Valley Spirit of the Tao,” the deep feminine, acknowledges that matter and energy are interchangeable and constantly in flux. This is a high flux time. This Divine Feminine is she who gives birth to the necessary and the unknown. Only the feminine has this life-giving creative capacity. Listen to Sun Bu-er, a 12-century practitioner of Taoism, know as “Clear and Calm Free Human”. She gives us something to chew on under this Full Moon, suggesting the intimate physical experience of the cosmos:

“When you’ve cooked the marrow of the sun and moon,
The pearl is so bright you don’t worry about poverty.”

The true revolution is in opening to the Self that serves the greater good, including kindness to ourselves and each, and living in a way that allows Beauty and Joy to unfold like petals on a flower, even a stark beauty that blossoms from pain. I have written earlier this year that waves of needed healing are arising from the underground layers of the Earth, as political hot spots, as well as from our own cells that are clearing out old interference patterns. This Full Moon is similar. Today’s thunderstorms create a sensation that energy from within the Earth is rising up to meet the electricity charging our atmospheres. We are all feeling it.

The sweet giving heart of Cancer deeply cares. This care, to “love thy neighbor as thyself,” creates results that go beyond the standard. Cancer’s weakness is personal security/insecurity, dependency and fear of change. Capricorn stiffens our backbone to live up to our capability, sometimes beyond what we thought we could. This Full Moon has such a potential to change the game, to rename the game, this serious game of life that requires a rather wacky and wry sense of humor.

A surge of power is arising, as Mars in Scorpio supports the transformational impulse of this Full Moon. Chiron in Pisces is a bridge over troubled waters, healing the past and watching those waters flow toward the sea without holding on. It can be bitter and sweet, bitter-sweet. It is as it is. We can’t hold on. We go with the flow. It just feels like the pace if picking up more than a bit! Stay centered deeply in yourself and it will feel slower, more “timely,” as indicated by synchronicities and magic moments. Do you feel how your life is changing, even in simple ways, beyond what was “normal”?

Another song for a Cancer-Capricorn Full Moon:
TIME by The Alan Parsons Project.

“Time flowing like a river…time, beckoning me.
Time keeps flowing like a river, to the sea…
The tide waits for me…the stars wait for me…
“Time keeps flowing like a river, to the sea, to the sea,
till it’s gone forever, gone forever, gone forever more.”

In face of immediate crises, we can’t easily see the longterm implications. The world appears to be in chaos, as old limits don’t hold.

*SUN SIGN CANCER, like a root-bound plant in a pot that is too small, needs to recognize the growth potential and prepare the ground for a transplant.

*MOON SIGN CAPRICORN draws up a new plan that is elastic enough to change as it goes.

*BLACK MOON LILITH in Libra opens the field: When no choice appeals, look outside the box for unprecedented new ideas and solutions that may just be a revelation of seeming magic.

*URANUS IN ARIES is a trumpet call to center in your Authentic Self, and take each step from there. Light up the night!
