Any new or full Moon is especially interesting when planets accompany the Sun or Moon. This Full Moon has both lights paired with planets: JUPITER with SUN, NEPTUNE with MOON.

Neptune enhances the sensitive energy of this Full Moon, very open and spacious to subtle fields and empathic attunement. Our psychic antennae are turned on high reception, which may be a bit confused by the static of the day. Don’t be distracted from the high, even angelic, quality that reverberates through your system. We may feel that we are more or less floating in a hodgepodge of realities. It’s all very elusive. The Earth may call each of us in a specific way to ground our energy.

With Jupiter accompanying the Virgo Sun, the Earth is soaking up a huge downpour of celestial light. The more we can each bring through, the better. The potential for a geomagnetic energy shift is opportune. Blessings abound. Believe that miracles are possible through grace and compassion. Angelic presences surround us. Extraordinary forces are in play. Supernatural wavelengths weave threads of connection through the global heart. Attune with terrestrial and extraterrestrial wisdom. Feel all of this, with gratitude. Prayers are potent. Make this Full Moon day special, as if it is a holy day. Indeed, every day truly is a holy day.

Virgo loves exercises. Try this one. Pair your choice of keywords from these lists to explore the potentials of this cosmic dynamic. Put together your good angel, most uplifting combination, followed by a shadow tendency combo that could undermine you. Then imagine how you can translate the shadow into the angel.

Shamans say, “The world is as we dream it.” Nature is ebullient, sensate and sensational in its feedback loop to our imagination. See fairies dance. Smell the forest and lilies of the field. Witness the power of Natural, its storms, wild weather, winds rippling the grasses. Feel the earth shake and volcanoes roar. Sorrow before the ugly environmental messes across the globe, the droughts and floods. The extremes are extraordinary.

With Jupiter in Virgo for the next year, August 2015-September 2016, we roll up our sleeves and attend to practicalities. Opportunity beckons to those who put in the time and attention, continuing to move one foot in front of the other. Bring your Pisces dreams and visions to the drawing board, and pay attention to the pragmatic priority of the moment. No couch potato dreamers in this camp. Even as princess, Cinderella is sweeping the hearth, creating sacred space. Virgo is simple, reserved, diligent, service-oriented and pays attention to the small things. It can be a bit workaholic. There is SO much to be done.

Virgo is highly aware of the body’s intelligence. New health methodologies and discoveries are likely during this time. It is a good time to pay attention to and take steps to improve your health routines.

“Ah,” says, Venus in her retrograde quality control mode, “consult your emotional intelligence to set your intent and your priorities.” MARS is now joining VENUS. Bring all the self-awareness you can muster to imbue your actions with heart-centered considerations, rather than your reactive defenses. This particular Venus retrograde cycle has a lot in common with that of 1991, with Jupiter in Virgo both times. This happens every 24 years. Jupiter has two rounds to every three Venus retrograde cycles. Think back to that season, June-October.

Another year to consider in your contemplations about your life is 2003/2004, Jupiter’s last passage through Virgo. This is why I am sharing the two versions of Vessels, my painting above. The first version was painted one day in 2004, which I didn’t realize until I just picked it up to work on it for the first time since then. It is a personally meaningful painting, as the central image, the raku pot, carried my son’s ashes for many years. I made a painting of the pot since I planned to give it away, after releasing the ashes into a brook. (I thought of symbolically smashing it, but couldn’t quite bring myself to do that to such a beautiful object.) Working on this painting again became a key part of my therapeutic art process during this current cycle of Venus retrograde which circles my Pluto, as it does for most of us in the Pluto in Leo generation, 1940-1957. The Uranus in Leo generation, 1956-1961/62, is also tapping to creative excitement thanks to Venus.

Venus turns forward on September 6, leading up to the New Moon eclipse (Partial) on the 13th, for further reality shifting. We have most of Virgo’s month to “clean up our act,” just in time for the powerful total eclipse on September 27. This coming month is chock full of life-altering celestial dynamics. Get ready, get set, bring it on! Once you are feeling that way, you’re good to go.
