Neptune tucked close to Full Moon, this Big Dream planet infuses its oceanic power into the Moon Light, illuminating the cosmic resonance of Earth in relation to the Universal Field. Nature sings a subtle song on the threshold of the seasonal Equinox shift. Neptune can evoke a high angelic vibration or a cloudy fog of confusion and deception. We are called to maintain a high frequency on the mental and emotional levels, infused with divine inspiration. We each contribute to the collective vibration and vision. Calling all you angels!

A Full Moon is the full-flowered revelation of a cycle initiated on a New Moon. Repeating some of what I wrote about the September 6-7 Virgo New Moon:
“The work-a-day world is Virgo’s domain. No matter where you live, it’s time to take the creative inspiration that you have been calibrating into a form and flow that motivates progress and put it to use. It’s a perfect Moon cycle to make improvements in some specific area. Earth sign pragmatism requires responsiveness in the moment. Adjust your priorities throughout the day. Especially keep your mind alert to new ideas and information that changes the playing field, evoking surprising synchronicities that affirm you are on track (Mercury opposite Chiron). As always with Virgo, listen to the organic wisdom of your body, especially as we are called into deeper embodiment of divine light.”

This Neptunian Full Moon brings what was started two weeks ago into a higher light fruition, which includes self-compassion for any lack of perfection or incompletion that we may berate ourselves about. Acknowledge that you are doing the best you are able under very trying circumstances, pressures and transitional urgency. If ever there was a time to call on our angels and other spiritual guidance, these are the times.

This Full Moon has angels flocking around, compassionate angels, healing angels and warrior angels.

In The Simillarion, J.R.R. Tolkien gives the pre-history of Middle Earth— what came before and led to events in The Lord of the Rings triology. In the beginning, there is the original One, Iluvatar, the Great Spirit, soon attended by a celestial host. Each one finds their voice and eventually they begin to sing together. The music swells with multiple themes and complex subthemes into a divine symphony. Inspired by this angelic choir, a vision of the creation and unfolding of Earth arises in the mind of Iluvatar. Seven male and seven female ‘archangels’ are compelled to experience this vision. When they arrive on Earth, they realize they are the ones to manifest the vision. Ulmo is one of these first beings, as Lord of the Seas and the Waters, and “of all most deeply was he instructed by Iluvatar in music” (The Simillarion).

Ulmo was Tolkien’s Neptune. A powerful force of creation, he rarely leaves his domain. The waters shape the Earth. The music of the waters, especially the sea, sounds most like the Divine Symphony sung at the throne of God. Because of this, the ocean continually pulls the heart and soul of Middle Earth dwellers, Elves and Humans alike. Ulmo cares most about these beings with a compassionate faith in their destiny and forgiveness of inevitable imperfections and mistakes.

In the high tidal flow of Pisces, feel what you are feeling in the intensity of these times. Let any tears of sorrow, anxiety, nostalgia flow under the bridge that separates the past from the Now. We are crossing such a collective bridge, as the old world collapses in front of our eyes. We grieve the loss of the illusory “good old days” (good because familiar and known, with a variety of memories and attachments that can hold us back). As we let go of what was, our vision becomes increasingly crystalline clear as to what we “Truly, Madly, Deeply” desire to experience moving forward, moment by moment, toward our “new Earth,” creating it as we go.

On the eve of this Full Moon, I took advantage of an inviting day to paddle board on my neighborhood lake. I found myself singing praises to the day, that basic hymn “Praise God from whom all Blessings Flow.” Later I took a walk with an old friend to an historic church in our small town, which had those old wooden family pews. We picked up musty hymnals and sang a few that we remembered, appreciating the echoing acoustics that seemed to amplify our voices to the heavens. We then freed our voices to sound out wordless music from our hearts. It was a lovely moment with the late day, late season sunlight slanting in the high windows. Thank you, Olivia.

This is a clearly a musical Moon. I don’t mean to overdose you with Christian religious music, just because it is inspiring to me lately. I have a broad, eclectic taste in music. Soul lifting music is found in all traditions, styles, and cultures. Other planets add to the particular nuances of this Full Moon:
Mercury, at 23 Libra, is in excellent synchrony with Jupiter at 23 Aquarius. This expands our minds into higher mind wavelengths. Perhaps we can understand each other more easily in this shared field of experience— as long as we have ears to listen.
Mercury is shortly moving into one of the overarching patterns of 2020-2022— and turns retrograde on September 26-27!— just as it moves into conjunction with birthing goddess Haumea in Libra, opposition with contentious Eris, and square to transformational Pluto. News of great import is imminent. We become more aware of the bigger picture, changing our minds over the next several weeks about how to proceed. We may second guess decisions and choices, or delay making them until October 18 or after, with Mercury as well as Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter turning direct with multiple green light indications.

Mars close to the Sun, though in Libra, activates the Scales of Justice. Though not a strong sign for Mars, its activity strengthens as we head onward into October. More on that next time, as Mars is conjunct the Libra New Moon of October 6. We’ll see what Mars can accomplish in Libra, through October 30, before heading into Scorpio on Halloween.

Mars is in Libra, a Venus-ruled sign; Venus is in Scorpio, a Mars-ruled sign. This inter-dynamic implies some level of emotional tension that needs to be channeled into maintaining balance (Libra) by staying centered in personal integrity (Chiron in Aries)— and to alchemize undesirable feelings with our inherent heart intelligence (Venus in Scorpio). Find a way to feel good and maintain a high vibe. This is the call of Neptune, the call of the universal sea. Don’t let yourself get emotionally pulled down in the undertow of what is being swept away.

Venus is in a pivotal configuration on this Full Moon, signaling major activity. At the hub of a very tight ‘Finger of Goddess’ pattern, Venus is also in cahoots with this year’s key Saturn/Uranus square. At 11 Scorpio, Venus is quincunx (150 degrees, or 5 signs away) to both Chiron at 11 Aries and Ceres at 11 Gemini. Venus tunes in from a deep heart level to a radical openness and inventiveness, reconfiguring and altering perceptions (Chiron), and stimulating psychic alignment and spontaneous signaling with Nature’s intelligence (Ceres). The complexity of this pattern and the interweaving of such an intriguing trio of archetypal threads offers a significant opportunity— channeled through Change-Maker Uranus opposite Venus at the hub.

Uranus in Taurus is changing the basic ground of our world. Venus is also squaring Saturn, indicating it is time for something big to happen. This intensity of this patterning of Venus is a clear indication of continuing change in the global financial situation—critical, timely and rather unsettling.  Venus also signals that are each responsible for our energetic participation in creating a way forward that is our collective vision of the values we want to live by, the world we long for deep in our hearts.

Venus is in a quintile, 72 degrees away from Pluto, called a ‘genius’ aspect. There is a way to get through these times that supports Pluto’s agenda for necessary reconfiguration. Pluto in Capricorn is also very supportive to this Full Moon (or should we say that the Full Moon is supportive to Pluto?). We are likely to see deep movement in our collective consciousness playout in global repercussions.

Know that the times require us to step up and into our full capacity to live life to its full.
