This FULL MOON on June 23
(7:32am EDT, 4:32am PDT, 12:32pm GSD)
is super powerful in several ways.
A FULL MOON on SOLSTICE is particularly powerful, extending the seasonal holyday and widening the doorway of this annual portal.
The June Solstice point, where the Sun appears to stand still at its northernmost latitude, is esoterically considered the entry point into Earth. I wonder what is coming through this year, as a follow up to the famous 2012 December Solstice turning point? Turn your face up to the cosmic grace descending on such a special day.
The SUPER MOON looks larger and more luminous because it is at perigee, when the Moon is closer to Earth, appearing larger.
The FULL MOON IN CANCER-CAPRICORN at 2 degrees is embedded in the Uranus-Pluto square in Aries-Capricorn. The Moon joins Pluto within hours—we’ll feel it— while the Sun adds increasing light to the major changes in progress, most exact the first several days of July. Considering that this is the U.S. birthday, we can expect huge changes on that national front. Secrets, MORE secrets, will out.
This Full Moon calls it time to reshape patterns of our lives that further growth and support well-being. It is a test of faith to ask for what we need. First, we need to feel what it is that we need from a deep soul space, and feel confident that we are supported by the Universal Mother of Manifestation. She works through mundane details and weavings of the web. Are you experiencing special connections and synchronicities that are proving this to you? In small ways, and larger ones, we are in a thrilling re-creative process that evokes personal dark holes that can pull us down. As we identify such dark feelings (“I don’t feel supported,” “I am afraid of the unknown,” It’s a dangerous world,” I don’t deserve what I want or need”), if we can let the feelings come up, rather than stuff them down, confront such statements and look them in the eye, we can turn them around, allowing them to change and welcome in what feels to be missing.
GREAT MOTHER MOON, with the experienced capacity of Capricorn, carves reality from deep earth know-how, in communion with natural forces. Powerful telluric and oceanic currents are increasing stirred up by the influx of light from cosmic sources, both extra and intra-terrestrial. More scientific information is coming forth about changes going on inside Earth. Many of us, particularly folks of the 1960s and late 1980s into 1990s, with outer planets in earth signs know this full well.
The post-Solstice Sun conjuncts BLACK MOON LILITH, now belly dancing around the Solstice gateway between Gemini and Cancer, stirring the vortex feeling. The Black Moon is a mathematical point that defines the Moon’s elliptical orbit around Earth. The Moon weaves our body into incarnation through the womb of the mother. We can think of the Black Moon as the soul’s deep desire for the enlightened consciousness that brings us through this world on our journey to the source. The Black Moon is engaging the global transformation with an infusion of consciousness.
Lilith, a powerful ancient archetypal force, has a fascination for our collective consciousness, as indicated by her presence in the arts. Her ambiguous, often negative reputation is an indication of her ego-buster effect. Women’s wisdom takes charge, in seen and unseen ways, with her “crazy wisdom.” Like the Tibetan Dakini, who dances in spacious sky, neither rational nor irrational, this wisdom asks zen questions through the mirror of our experience. SHe points out where you are quibbling or holding back, resisting the firm hand on the small of your back gently pushing you forward. Situations are clearly showing us, if we can recognize its true reflection.
Lilith does not allow judgments, as such opinion limits the capacity for spacious consciousness, an open cornucopia that offers all that is needed. True wisdom is arising from our personal awakenings and communions, from community weaving and action, from kindness and caring. The emergence of the feminine comes from the heart.
On June 25, JUPITER moves through the Solstice point into CANCER, beginning a yearlong transit through one of its favorite signs. Jupiter in Cancer has a kind of green thumb knack for growing and nurturing whatever supports you. Give it a big hug in your life.
Jupiter, too, moves right into the Uranus-Pluto square, contributing generously, most specifically in August and again winter into spring of 2014. Where do you want to be by then? You’ll get a few clues in August.
We feel our way. Jupiter is the key to the grand trine in water along with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune/Chiron in Pisces. Its peak time is this Moon June 21 through August. We are awash in feeling, sensitivity. What feels right, is the key question.
MERCURY is RETROGRADE June 26-July 20, giving us ample time to chew the cud, reconsider how things are going, how we are feeling, what we really need. Remember the Star Trek question that always stumped Spock: “How are you feeling?” Time for our hearts to answer.
MAY THE GLORY OF THE FULL MOON WASH INTO YOU.
