The Sun enters Sagittarius, the sign of The Archer just a few hours before the Moon joins it. Venus again accompanies the New Moon, though we can’t see it still merged in the light of the Sun.
A Sagittarian New Moon carries a very different flavor than one emerging from the depths of Scorpio. Sagittarius is forward-looking, optimistic, outgoing, adventurous and freedom loving. Sag enjoys the Great Outdoors, appreciating the wilderness, on the trail of “the bear who went over the mountain to see what she could see. She saw another mountain…” and on and on she went. We seek the freedom and vistas of the open road.
In this goal-oriented sign ruled by “far-seeing” Jupiter, we aim our sights on a fresh target. Sagittarius is a fire sign of imagination and intuition, a lover of the eternal myths and never-ending stories. Some great movies could come out in the next month that capture the universal spirit of the times. We can head into the next few weeks, full of inspiration and motivation. First catch hold of the Big Dream, the vision you want to be living. Don’t be afraid to aspire high. Join in “The Sound of Music” sing-along-song:

With an active square from Neptune, that’s what this New Moon is all about. Near Neptune, Chiron creates quantum ripples through the Piscean field. A.T.Mann offers this perceptive insight in his New Moon newsletter:
“That Venus and the Sun/Moon combination square Neptune in Pisces shows the psychic and psychological openings, new inspirations and access to the unconscious forces brewing, if only we can differentiate them and stay awake. New potentials arise but it might be difficult to distinguish between what is real and what is imaginary, just like much of the world and the Internet these days.”

Have you been feeling the impact of Saturn this past week? As it nears the end of Scorpio, it is a delivering a deliberate end-of-sign notice by special messenger, Mercury. Saturn also reins in Jupiter’s enthusiasm a bit, just so the Big Guy won’t overdo it and mess things up. The Sagittarian New Moon buoys our spirits to meet the Saturn endnote. Already we start to catch sight of a new vision, perhaps enthused by holiday spirit. For many, this holiday season is likely to have a different tone that moves us away from the money-based celebration to the true heart-based uplift of this time of year. Let’s appreciate the “Simple Gifts,” a Shaker song by Elder Joseph:
‘Tis the gift to be simple, ’tis the gift to be free
“‘Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
‘Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we shan’t be ashamed,
To turn, turn will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come ’round right.”
We can celebrate with thanks-giving beyond the U.S. holiday of that name, and extend our gratitude for all that we have experienced and accomplished this year of 2014 and even back to 2012, when Saturn entered Scorpio. 2012 was heralded as a cosmic threshold year. That threshold is an extended opening or vortex of an energetic turning point, not just a single year event. Like a New Moon, when we don’t see the crescent Moon for a night or two, we are still “turning and turning” in a cosmic threshold moment.
Feminine shamanic energy comes on very strong in this Moon cycle, with Venus interacting with Chiron. The SUN and MERCURY square Chiron on the December 6 FULL MOON, opening quantum states via the embodied awareness that we are all “entangled” (great scientific word!), as we know from the www, worldwide web. As we extend the vibration of thankfulness through the field, feedback loops respond with higher quality experiences. Venus is in cahoots with Uranus in Aries for this fiery New Moon, part of an uplifting and motivating fire triangle, also involving Jupiter.
Chiron is particularly good at joining in on special choreography. Now in Pisces, Chiron’s quantum characteristics are being turned on by the increasing cosmic influx and revealed by the leading edge discoveries in Unified Field Physics. I am currently involved in a webinar series from physicist Nassim Haramein’s Resonance Foundation, which conveys the Unified Physics information involving holograms, fractals and geometry, as well as Planck units, the tiniest subatomic electromagnetic oscillations in the universe that create the basic field, called aether by many philosophical traditions. Adam Apollo, one of the teaching staff, asks a good question:
“What if space is a discrete lattice of energy networks which vibrate together as a field, and changes in this energy field network account for all of the particles and forces we observe? What if infinite dimensional information can be nested within the nodes of this network, and the vibrations between those nodes act like strings?”

Something in us already knows this. Don’t you feel it?
Along the lines of this Moon’s female shamanic resonance, CHARIKLO enters the field. Chiron’s mythic partner, one story is that she shapeshifted from a water nymph into a centaur to be with him. Her name was given to a small astronomical centaur object, discovered in 1997 under an extraordinarily lovely planetary pattern involving a 6-pointed star. Recently this small body discovered to have two thin rings, like a double halo, surprising astronomers who didn’t think that such a small object could have rings.
There are lots of other recent discoveries taking astrophysicists by surprise, like a huge quantum cluster billions of light years across, exceeding expectations of the current standard scientific model of our universe. All kinds of things are going on that have never been thought possible. How exciting! Our mental capacity is being stretched and rearranged into new alignments. Meanwhile it can feel like chaos. It is all changing.
Chariklo (Chariclo) is called the “graceful spinner,” seeing beyond the ordinary into invisible realities and weaving resonant webs. As water nymph, she was tuned into waves and tides, currents and subcurrents. The largest of the centaurs, with an orbit of 62+ year cycle, Chariklo is now at 24+ Sagittarius. As we move into December she will be pulled in to our experience by several celestial visitations:
DECEMBER 6—Full Moon—VENUS will be aligned with CHARIKLO
DECEMBER 13—MERCURY ditto
DECEMBER 16—the SUN ditto
