How did you fare through the waning of the November 19 Lunar Eclipsed Moon? Did you wring out some last shadows and rinse yourself clean before heading into the fires of Sagittarius? These days, it seems, multi-layered shadows arise for us to confront and banish within ourselves. Is this why we come to this material world?

The waning Moon passage in-between eclipses has been well-used to clean up your emotional frequency as much as possible to be ready for new developments. This New Moon is a highly potent Total Solar Eclipse— a profound portal for change and renewal, as a fresh vision emerges from deep inside our (collective and individual) imaginations. We each take up our bow, string up the finest, sliver-tipped, eagle feathered arrow in our quiver, and aim true toward the vision closest to our heart and soul.

Sagittarius is the Visionary sign, of insight, inspiration, intuition, imagination. It is the Truth Speaker and Story Telling sign. This eclipse is a fabulous time for changing your storyline. Now and again (like now) it is good to listen to yourself as you talk about how you are doing, how you are feeling, what is going on in your life. Writing a letter to yourself (or to someone you are going through ‘stuff’ about) can be a way to clarify and process how you are thinking and feeling. Putting words on paper somehow makes them more ‘real’. You can read it over and edit. This is for yourself; it’s not as if you have to send the letter— usually it’s probably best not to. And watch that trigger finger that tends to send off emails before they are well-considered!

And speaking of ‘stuff’! If you were to go on an impromptu, unexpected adventure, what would you take with you? That would depend on where you’re going, for how long and what you intend to do, but there are lots of material objects we can continue to let go of in the overall Pluto in Capricorn agenda to unclutter, simplify and downsize.

This eclipse is an extra-ordinary opportunity to re-imagine your story from this moment onward. Instead of repeating (and reliving) the past, can we tell our story in terms of where we are heading, our vision of moving forward. As we engage the creative potentials of quantum consciousness, we participate in imagining the ‘future,’ which is part of the multi-layered Be-Here-Now Space-Time. This all might sound too very ‘woo-woo’. The world right now sure seems to be at least a one ‘Woo’ situation, within the nuanced texture and promise of this emerging moment, a rare paradigm shift of prophetic import. Sagittarius is the sign of the Prophetic.

There is more truth to be revealed in this Truth-Seeker Sign, which may cause grief, hope, and/or renewal. We continue to release the past and our own sorrows and regrets through compassion and forgiveness— as indicated by Neptune’s challenge during this Eclipse and the rest of Sagittarius season.

Mercury, closely ‘under the beams’ of the Sun/Moon, suggests the ‘stillness’ of the dark eclipse portal in Sabian Symbol 16 Sagittarius: Motionless Ship, Lazily Soaring Sea Gulls
Such a moment of pause sustains and re-inspires, like a walk in nature, hanging on a hammock, meditating— any ‘time out’ of our mundane busyness. A renewed sense of purpose, motivation and vitality restores our sense of life as the adventure it is. It is important to take care of ourselves, with plenty of rest and nurturing. Let yourself relax and allow the inner process to reveal itself, as we realign our lives with our soul’s wisdom.

As a way to enter the dark whole of this Solar Eclipse portal, I found this quote from one of my favorite inspiration books, Letters of the Scattered Brotherhood, edited by Mary Strong (p.126):

“Let the soul banish all that disturbs; let the body that envelops it be still, and all the frettings of the body, and all that surrounds it; let earth and sea and air be still, and heaven itself. And then let the man think of the Spirit as streaming, pouring, rushing and shining into him from all sides while he stands quiet.”

Continuing on the new path opened by the Eclipse, we have quite a bevy of planetary dynamics to finish out the year— not unlike last year’s finish of 2020. Of course we are a year further on now with the inevitable changes and repositioning among celestial dancers that evolve over time. The big strokes involve:

Full Moon influence from the Galactic Center;
Chiron turns to direct motion;
Venus turns retrograde, conjunct Pluto 3x along the way;
Saturn/Uranus square— the last of three exact activations;
Moon’s Nodes changing signs;
Jupiter enters Pisces.

Dates to note on this end-of-year slide into New Year 2022
12/11— Venus conjuncts Pluto #1
Emotional transformation, personal values clarification, along with some kind of major global financial reformation. This process unfolds somewhat behind the scenes, as suggested by Pluto, all the way into March 2022.

12/13— Two personal planets change sign on the same day—an obvious page-turning change of tone. What now?!
 —Mars into Sagittarius, conjunct South Node
Mars kicks activity into a higher gear as it leaves its sign of Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. Energetically motivated and adventurous, strong visionary impulse comes through the intuition and imagination of the South Node in Sagittarius. Listen and act on your truth.
—Mercury into Capricorn
A call to become mentally organized and pragmatic, to think practically about our situations and begin to draft plans for 2022 and beyond based on the inspiration of this visionary New Moon eclipse cycle.

12/18-19—Gemini-Sagittarius Full Moon
I will likely write more about this Full Moon as it comes closer. But just in case the holidays sweep me up, here is adequate info, an overview of the whole of December can be useful, like an initial sketch, setting up target points at which to take aim for the New Moon.  Both Sagittarius and Aquarius like the perspective given by an overview of the bigger picture. Jupiter in Aquarius rules Sagittarius, thus this Eclipse. Saturn is in Aquarius as well, about to square Uranus again. Stepping back is so necessary. Step back to get set, then step forward, aim for your vision and follow through.

This Full Moon reflects the light of the Sagittarius Sun aligned with Galactic Center—Our evolving Vision is informed by the Heart of the Milky Way Galaxy, set to unfold in waves of incoming Light. What a way to bring even more light and an extraordinary quality to this increased light that washed in through the New Moon Eclipse portal of December 4! Venus turns retrograde at 26-27 Capricorn (conjunct Pluto) as Chiron turns direct at 8 Aries 26 (square Mercury).

@ Sabian Symbol 27 Capricorn: A Mountain Pilgrimage
Retrograde through January (direct on January 29, 2022 @11+ Capricorn), this pilgrimage lasts until Venus returns to 27 Capricorn on March 3, 2022. There is a story to every Venus retrograde journey. This one clearly involves Pluto and the descent of the Goddess to the Underworld, a story we find in multiple mythologies.
Mercury is involved as well, as it circles the 26-27^th degree of Capricorn in its January 14-Feb 3 retrograde, in fact turning forward @24-25 Capricorn and conjunct Pluto for an extended two weeks! Mercury seems to appear as a guide on our collective pilgrimage. Venus returns to her conjunction with Pluto in early March—after 4 months in Capricorn—and accompanied by Mars. This is quite a mythic story of transformation and restoration.

—Chiron in Aries stations this same day, turning to forward movement. Retrograde since mid-July, this phase has been one of internalizing and recalibrating spirit-mind-body in relation to the huge input of new frequencies, information and experiences since early this year. As Chiron is at this pivot point, it squares Mercury in Capricorn, altering our perception and our ‘take’ on things.

12/21/21— December Solstice! Sun enters Capricorn at this celebratory turning point into the new year.

12/23-24— Saturn square Uranus @11Aquarius/Taurus06—final of three exact ‘square-offs’ of these two diametrically-different dynamos. The square resonates through 2022, but the peak intensity has been reached, with its obvious implications that we have passed a significant marker in our collective experience, no going back now!

—Nodes of the Moon changing sign. Always moving retrograde through the Zodiac, the North Node enters Taurus, calling us forward into grounded experience. The South Node enters Scorpio, indicating influences and motivations from the past.

12/25— Venus, retrograde, conjuncts Pluto #2
Check in time for how we are feeling and dealing in this deep process of re-evaluation, values clarification. Raise your frequency and feel deep gratitude, welcoming inevitable transformation for the better.

12/28—Jupiter enters Pisces, its own sign.
After putting a toe in Pisces from mid-May through July, Jupiter now jumps full in. We all find ourselves in the same ocean. Good cosmic surfers will ride high on waves of Love and Compassion.
